“Happy Campers” in 805 Living
I love camping. Growing up, my dad (an athlete and avid camper) used to take my older sisters, younger brother, and me to camp spots all along the California coast from the Russian River to Big Sur.
Take a peek at some key essentials for the next big camping trip in this month’s 805 Living:
Green Design issue of Organic Spa
For the latest green design issue of Organic Spa, I profiled interior designers Kishani Perera and Chloe Warner on their expert lighting tips in “Lighten Up,” and culled eco accessories and design ideas from interior decorator Kelly LaPlante in “Stylish & Sustainable.”
Snapshots from Croatia
Croatia has always been on my travel bucket list, and luckily, I was just there for a story. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to has to be Plitvice Lakes National Park. (There was a even a fresh layer of snow on the ground.)
It’s quickly become one of my favorite countries, and I can’t wait to go back. Here are just a few highlights.
“Cork & Bottle” in Organic Spa
Cork is making a comeback, but not just in the home. Read on for my latest market pages (also featuring recycled glass vessels) in this month’s Organic Spa:
“Cottage Industry” in Anthology Magazine
I’ve always considered photo stylists magicians for their ability to curate goods and effortlessly transform the pages of ordinary catalogs. For this issue of Anthology, I interviewed San Francisco–based stylist Glenn Jenkins and featured his cottage-style home in wine country for my story “Cottage Industry.”
Read the full story in the magazine online, or pick up a copy at Anthropologie or other major bookstores.
“Play Hooky” in Destination Weddings+Honeymoons
I grew up skiing and love exploring ski towns. For the latest issue of Destination Weddings+Honeymoons, I featured Park City’s newest gem, Washington School House.
Check out the story, “Play Hooky” here:
California Brides
The premiere issue of California Brides is here! For the first issue, I wrote up three stories, “Tea Time,” “Altered State,” and “Golden State Escapes,” on everything from tea and new resorts to top destinations in the state.
Fashion Truck Fever: mobile boutiques roll into San Francisco
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been obsessed with ice cream trucks, gypsy wagons, trailers-turned-inns, and the idea of a boutique on wheels. Now, thanks to Christina Ruiz, founder of TopShelf Boutique, it’s finally a reality. Get a glimpse inside the traveling caravan and a crop of other pop-up stores in my story, “Fashion In The Fast Lane” in yesterday’s Style section of The San Francisco Chronicle:
“Doubling Down” in Capitol File
One of my latest stories “Doubling Down” on Anne Marler and her husband Johnny Monis (of Komi fame) and their new restaurant Little Serow in DC, is in the current issue of Capitol File. Take a peek here:
Hobart, Tasmania in Afar Magazine
Hobart, Tasmania, is just about as idyllic as it gets. I was lucky enough to visit the island and dig up some of the hidden gems along the way for my latest story in the March/April issue of Afar Magazine. There wasn’t space to include Saffire Resort, about 3 hours away on the coast of Freycinet (one of the most beautiful spots on earth), but the culinary scene in Hobart alone is worth the visit.
Great Escape: Royal Davui, Fiji in Destination Weddings & Honeymoons Magazine
Fiji has always been a place at the top of my travel bucket list. But, after a few days at Royal Davui, (a luxe resort on a remote island in the middle of what feels like nowhere), I was hooked. Pick up a copy of the story, “Fantasy Island” in the March/April issue of Destination Weddings & Honeymoons.
“Once Upon A Time In Mexico” featured in 805 Living Magazine
I love Mexico. And, San Miguel de Allende has to be one of the most incredible cities in the country. For the newest places to stay (and other must-do’s while you’re there), here’s my recent story “Once Upon A Time In Mexico” in 805 Living’s Jan/Feb issue.
Anthology Magazine
I’m excited to announce my latest story “Sister Act” in Anthology Magazine featuring sisters Eunice and Sabrina Moyle and their fabulous letterpress stationery studio in San Francisco. They are both friends and are so talented! You can check out issue No. 3 online or pick it up at Anthropologie.
Ikat trend story in 805 Living
I love ikat. Check out my latest story on the tribal-inspired trend in this month’s issue of 805 Living.
Lupita Island, Tanzania in C Magazine
I’m excited to announce my latest story “Paradise Found” on Lupita Island, Tanzania, in this month’s issue of C Magazine.
Tanzania has to be one of my favorite places on earth. I can’t decide what I love more, the sunsets, the people, the animals, or the mere beauty. It was the trip of a lifetime!
Corrales, New Mexico in Sunset Magazine
I’m thrilled to share my latest day trip story on Corrales, New Mexico in Sunset’s January issue. The small town (just outside Albuquerque) is a throwback to all things ranch. It’s like going back in time. I didn’t have space to include Corrales Winery, but it’s gorgeous. A definite must-see. I can’t wait to go back!
