“Ready For Its Close-up” in Anthology Magazine

 

In the Winter issue 14 of Anthology Magazine, I highlight San Francisco photographer Thayer Allyson Gowdy’s home originally built more than 100 years ago. I love her use of colorful objects (the bright pink door and black facade) and mix of materials. And, one of the things I like most about this story is the fact that she wanted to make the home uniquely hers, including taking several trips to Heath Ceramics‘ “seconds” room and painstakingly hand-selecting tiles for the bathroom and kitchen backsplash.
